To support Nova Scotia high school teachers and students with a variety of workplace health and safety learning approaches, the WCB sponsors programs from other service providers to be used in the classroom.
The following online resources have been reviewed by the Nova Scotia Department of Education and are approved for classroom use.

Safe@MyJob - Workplace Health and Safety Quiz for Grade 10-12 students
Safe@MyJob is a new online quiz at the Nova Scotia Virtual School. Through the InClass Online: Blended Learning portal just log in to participate and print a completion certificate! An awareness quiz that all students can do, Safe@MyJob is based on workplace health and safety curriculum outcomes in Grade 10-12 courses, and covers themes and topics that are common in Nova Scotia workplaces.

St. John Ambulance: LifeSmart First Aid Training
An innovative and comprehensive First Aid Training Program designed for high-school students. LifeSmart is the only program of its kind in Canada and was a collaborative effort between St. John Ambulance and the Nova Scotia Department of Education. Teachers log-in to the above site to access PIN numbers for student users, who will have life-long access to the program which results in a provincially recognized completion test and certificate for Emergency First Aid, suitable for LifeWork Portfolios and resumes.

SJA’s online Workplace Hazardous Materials & Information System (WHMIS) course provides participants with the skills necessary to access and apply the information needed to protect their health and safety while working with WHMIS controlled products. Teachers log-in to the above site to access PIN numbers for student users, who will have life-long access to the program which results in a provincially recognized completion test and certificate for WHMIS, suitable for LifeWork Portfolios and resumes.
