Schools
The WCB of Nova Scotia believes safe workplaces of tomorrow begin with the students and teachers of today.
Together with partners, we work to ensure an education in Nova Scotia includes well-rounded exposure to critical health and safety information as students begin to form life and work attitudes and aptitudes.
The WCB provides teachers and students with resources specific to workplace health and safety.
An active partnership with the Nova Scotia Department of Education, and professional collaboration with school board personnel and teacher working groups, has resulted in a growing array of learning resources created to align with the workplace health and safety outcomes of:
- Community-Based Learning 10
- Career Development 10 & 11
- In-School Component of Co-Op 11 & 12, and
- Workplace Health & Safety 11.
If you teach any of these programs, or others that explore injury prevention, safety at home, at work and in the community, and/or Nova Scotia’s health and safety services framework, the resources on this website can support your classroom work.
