NAOSH Week

This is the North American Occupational Safety & Health (NAOSH) Week, a time to focus the attention of employers, employees, the general public and all partners in occupational safety and health on the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace, at home and in the community. 

Here in Nova Scotia, people throughout the province are gathering to discuss making the province safer. We’ve seen considerable progress, with workplace injuries down by 27 per cent since 2005. But there is no “acceptable” number of workplace injuries and we must continue to strive to reduce the number of injuries – and the heartache and loss they bring – in Nova Scotia.
