Safety Matters

Many of us have a favourite activity to do with Dad – whether it’s playing outside, watching the big game, or firing up the grill.  This Father’s Day, remember that these moments with Dad are brought to you by workplace safety.

Last year, more than 3,200 men were seriously injured on the job in Nova Scotia, with the highest numbers seen in the construction and manufacturing industries.  Men aged 45-54 made up the largest segment of all time loss claims in 2015.  

These numbers mean many are missing out on making great memories with Dad.  Spending time with family is something to cherish, but that can only happen if you come home safe at the end of the day.

Take this Father’s Day to think about what matters most with your Dad.  No matter what your plans with Dad are this Sunday, it’s just one of the reasons to remind him – or yourself – to work safely.    Make safety a priority and make more memories with Dad!
